Romance is more than champagne, fireplaces, and heart-shaped Jacuzzi tubs. It is an atmosphere. It involves more than a few hours in bed. Have you ever tried taking your date or significant other window-shopping? If neither of you are shopaholics and you establish ahead of time how much money you plan to spend ('none at all' being a great option) you can spend hours getting acquainted or reacquainted with one another. The window-shopping can be in your hometown, a nearby city, or an exotic foreign destination - it does not matter. Browsing through antique stores, flea markets, boutiques, delicatessens, and adult shops can reveal more about your partner than you might imagine! Without asking, you can learn about hobbies, favorite colors, styles, and food preferences (or allergies). (Does your date have expensive tastes?) Ladies, be sure to suggest a tool or auto supplies department as part of the day. If your guy is interested in sports or electronics, head for the appropriate aisles. Maybe you are the toolaholic or sports fiend - great! Indulge yourself. After a few hours of just looking around, maybe holding hands, snatching a kiss or two when nobody is looking, pick up hot dogs at a hot dog stand (weather permitting) or go for a picnic. If you happen to pass by a playground, try a turn or two on the teeter-totter, play tag, and get in touch with your hidden child. Or go for a bicycle ride. Do either of you own a motorcycle? Go for it! At the end of the day, you will know so much more than you did when the day began. You will feel closer - and who knows what may develop as the evening unfolds?
